Booking a cruise through the USA

Is it possible to get someone else to book your cruise, say a family member living in the USA? The rate for us is better in the US dollar rather than here in Europe? Is this legal?

I book cruz for my girlfriend with "Liberty of the Sea" for next June. She is from Belgrade Serbia. You can put her information with RCC and gave her credit card or yours. It is very simple.

I sorry I didnt make myself too clear! What I meant was booking the cruise in US Dollars rather than in Euro

I don't see how you could do that if your charge card is a European issued charge card and goes against a European bank. The cruise line will charge the card in US Dollars but the bank that owns the charge card will convert.

Don't quote me on this but I think if you are a non US citizen (European in our case) they only allow you to book your cruise via the European booking system.
Not sure though, you are right though it is alot cheaper, it doesn't seem fair, and they have better deals on the US website! also I don't think the UK website is very good and there is no crown and anchor area :-( They don't seem to have caught up with the US system.
Not really sure about this one though, sorry if the info is wrong!

Some cruise lines do allow US agents to book International clients. Royal Caribbean only allows US agents to book US and Cananda.

yes - its quite easy - have done it from Europe several times. Call someone like cruises only and they will book in USD for you. Obviously charge ends up back in local currency but depending on timing can be big saves (27% this year)
