Had poor customer service on the first RCCL cruise we took on Voyager. Due to flight issues we arrived in Miami late with about 40 other people. We were herded to a bus and not allowed to even stop to use the restroom. The representative was horrible and rude. I was five months pregnant and needed to stop but was told they would leave us and we would miss the ship. We were then told our bags would never make it-now, they did make it but that was a little stressful. Once we arrived, we were "upgraded" to another stateroom. Our original stateroom was midship, which was what we wanted. The new room was aft, both balconies, not much different except for location. We asked for our original room but were told they couldn't give it to us. The room we ended up in had a problem with cavitation. Has anyone else had this problem on this class. There was a loud noise that occurred frequently that kept us awake at night. It sounded like horrible metal vibration. We called to complain on the second night and they sent an officer to check it out. They couldn't move us immediately b/c there were no rooms available. They finally called us a few nights later with an available room but it was on the other side of the ship only a few cabins forward. We tried it-still had the noise but not as loud. Needless to say we had no peaceful sleep on the entire journey-and RCCL would do nothing. That was our last vacation and we have decided to give RCCL another try but are wary. Any suggestions-we have booked a promenade cabin midship this time.
Has anyone had issues with the Mariner.

Just curious - why not try a different cruise line?

Not sure of the Mainer, will ask some friends that have cruised on her. We have had aft balconies. Other than a nice prop vibration have never heard noises as we have been on Voyager and Navigator.
Majesty 11-03
Enchantment 4-04
Voyager 10-04
Splendour 4-05
Navigator 10-05
Sovereign 5-06

Since I have had a cigarette.

We have cruised on Mariner two times, both with Oceanview rooms (Deck 2 - #2284-2286 and Deck 3 #3268). On Deck 2, we thought we might have heard some music on the level below or next to us, possibly where the employees were, but never too much where it kept us awake. On Deck 3, we were right across from Dragon's Lair... I was concerned we would hear the music, but it was so soundproof, we could not hear anything. We also could not hear activity of crew members in crew elevator area across from us. We have enjoyed the Mariner and would sail again in a heartbeat. Hope you have a great cruise.
