how strict is the carry on booze rule?

Hi,
they are not amused, if you will bring stuff on board a ship. But it is very simple: take some plastic bottles that have place in your toilet bag - noone will controll or find it... But beware of the steward! You can take wine with you, but there will be a cork charge on each bottle (up to 30 dollars, I heard)

I think our steward last year wanted some. He was awesome. He loved us. We ended up not finishing what we brought with us, so we left it in the dresser drawer. I wonder what happened to it?

We just got back from Mariner in February- we brought tons of "nip" bottles. We put them in my husbands socks and some flask size bottles in his shoes with socks stuffed inside- all in our luggage, not carry on, had no problem!

Just got back from Mariner, had a great time. Took two bottles of liquor and a case of beer on in our checked luggage. No problems
