http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gifJust read were Rccl sold the Empress.
There's a ship I'm going too miss having cruised on here 3 times, She didn't have all the bells & whistles the new ships have, But if you meet some people & enjoy being with them you'll see them again, Not like some of the newer ships...Size isn't everything http://images7.fotki.com/v142/photos...33/lol2-vi.gif |
Why does RCCL sale ships if they are still in good shape what makes them sale them I wonder?
|
I guess the maintainance fee was too expensive for aged ships. Just like aged cars!

Hello everybody,
as a matter of fact, "Empress of the Seas" has not been sold. It will, however, leave the RCI fleet next spring and will be transfered to sister company Pullmantur Cruises in Spain. The ship is going to stay within the Royal Caribbean Cruises family. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif Pullmantur urgently needs additional capacity. |
Thank you for clarification.
