Hi All,

We are going on our third cruise on the Freedom in October....Although I always run up a reasonable bar tab............I also like to have cocktails in the room sometimes....I cannot remember if RCL allows you to bring your own alcohol on board....does any one know?

RCCL has recently cracked down on this, at least with a new written policy. I don't know how rigid they are being on embarkation day. Here is the new policy.

Note that it goes so far as to list ways that people try to hide it.

Check out the reviews on the topic (new alcohol Policy ????). You should find some info there.

Wine is considered an alcholic beverage, and would appear to be banned by the new RCCL policy. Again, I don't know how rigid they are with the new policy. Wine has usually been looked upon differently than spirits, at least on embarkation day. I'm not sure if RCCL still lists a corkage fee for personal wine.

Hi Mike Mac, welcome to Cruise-Chat. What is your sailing date on the Freedom? You're not allowed to carry and booze on board. If you buy some in a port they will hold it for you until the end of the cruise. Our friends always put a bottle or two inside their luggage. They wrap it in bubble wrap. We will be with them on our Freedom cruise on Oct.15th. We have ajointing cabins, hopefully we will have cocktails on the balcony.
