we are traveling as a group of 45 in august. We were booked an oceanview room on Sovereign. When I looked at some of the pictures they seem very small for 4 people. Should I book another room or is it sufficient for 2 adults and 2 teens. Also, is there a couch or pull out bed for more room. Thanks, jab2555

We were in a Jr. Suite on the Sovereign and I can't imagine 4 people in that room which is probably bigger - IMO. I know a lot of people will say that it doesn't matter since you're rarely in your room.

My biggest issue would be with the bathroom. Will there be problems getting everyone in/out of the shower daily? What about all your clothes?

The standard cabins on the Sovereign are 119 square feet, which are among the smallest cabins afloat. RCI had the idea at the time that cabin size was of minor importance so long as their were lots of public rooms. They backed off of this philosophy on later builds and started making the cabins larger.

Untold thousands of people have survived a cruise in one of these 4-person shoe boxes, so it is doable. But if you can spare the money I'd get a second cabin.

I believe you can go on line and actually see a "virtual tour" 360 degree of the room and you can see what's inside of it as far as furniture. I myself would opt for a second room even if it meant putting the teens in an inside room (that's what we did- are kids were across the hall from our door!)

I know that the Voyager class ships have two beds that pull out of the ceiling, plush a couch that makes into a bed...BUT...4 people in a room would really be pushing it....hardly any storage space as it is....but anything is doable...Just have fun...that's the main thing.
