I think the asker meant, "What do I take when I go off the boat into a port city?", not when they disembark the boat at the final destination. I would like soem tips on this too, actually. What to take when going into a port city... Attire, food (I hear the boat provides sacck lunches to those who want them), tote bag or purse...? Any thoughts?
Take cash or credit cards. The SeaPass doesn't work on shore ;-)

I bring my beach bag with a towel, seapass/credit card, cash, I ususally wear my bathing suit with a cover up, suntan lotion, brush and that is pretty much it. It depends on what you are going to do. I bring everything with me so I dont' have to go back to the ship. If I am going shopping I probably do that first before doing any water actitives. I found that I pretty much live in my bathing suit and a cover up for most of the time.
It depends where you're going. We are not doing "bathing suit" activities where we're going. I bring a large zipper bag/purse. I bring copies of my passport, my seapass, camera, my itinerary for the day, any maps that I've requested from the local visitor info centers. I also bring 2 credit cards on the ship. I bring 1 with me and a different one stays in the room safe...just in case it's needed. I also take water bottles when we get off. The ship sells them for an inflated cost- so we pack them for port days, chill them in the fridge, and then that leaves room in the suitcase for SHOPPING!
