Enchantment of the Seas

Has anyone been on the Western Caribbean cruise on the Enchantment? This is the 5 night cruise with ports of call at the Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico. How is the ship in particular?

Yes,we sailed on her in June.We had a wonderful cruise and the staff was great. Food was pretty good and the service in the dining room was outstanding.

As far as the condition of the ship....she's starting to show some wear but nothing that took from our cruise at all. Of course, they are constantly doing upkeep on the ship.

Any question in particular that you may have? I'll try to answer the best I can.

No, no questions in particular, as I have cruised before with Royal Caribbean on the Majesty back in October of 2007, so I have an idea of what to expect even though it's a completely different ship.

Well, I was doing some pricing around tonight after dinner, and I am seriously thinking about booking this for September, as there was a good "special residency rate" available, and am thinking about booking before they discontinue that rate.

Hi Michael, I love this ship, it is not the newest ship, or the biggest. But she is the perfect size for me, and like you I have found some great rates on this ship and had a great time. I also have cruised this ship solo, no problem making friends, and I will probably solo again soon.

Well, while they were still showing the special rate, I went ahead and booked! I'm sailing on her September 19. This will be my second cruise. My first was also with Royal Caribbean on the Majesty back in October of 2007.

I can't remember if I asked this in an earlier post, but what activities on board are there to do on the two days at sea? Even though I'd be fine just lounging by the pool, I am just curious to know what other options there are.

I've been cruising since 1981 and the days at sea haven't changed a whole lot over the years. It's your day to do whatever you want. Bingo, wine tasting, ice carving demo, pool games, art auction, making a cooking demo, spa talks, newly wed game, port talks, dance lesson, shopping.
The Enchantment has a bungee jumping trampoline which is different. This ship was cut in half and a 71ft section added in 2005. It's a nice ship.

Good point. Also, anyone know what deck is the best? For my last cruise on the Majesty, I was on Deck 3 in an interior stateroom. For this cruise, I decided on a large interior stateroom on deck 7. Does that seem like a good choice?
