Miami Motels

Can anyone recomend an inexpensive (i.e. Motel 6 or other like level) motel near the airport and the cruise port in Miami? We just need the very basics for an overnight prior to boarding Liberty.
Also, suggestions for transportation from the airport to the motel, motel to the port, port to the airport. Any suggestions for a shuttle service, taxi, etc? We've never been to Miami and could use a little guidence.

My suggestion would be to check hotels.com for prices on the date you'll be in Miami. Also, find a hotel with free shuttle service from the airport to their hotel. I've always had great luck with Priceline.com and getting great rooms for under $75.

Jim1012, use your search tool in the Hotel section. There have been a lot of recommendations for the Holiday Inn. SuperShuttle used to do a great job and was pretty reasonable, but SonnyV recommended a different one. Just click on the Hotels and Transportation section, then click on your Find button, type in Miami Hotels or Miami Transportation. It should pull up a bunch of posts. Best wishes and Happy Holidays!
