Travel channel tonight!

I recorded it on TVIO. IT was great show. I saved it, because I am traveling with 5 other people that have never been on a cruise before, and they will find this show very interesting. Since, I have tried to explain everything by word of mouth. Now everything i said, they can see a visul....

We PVRd it and just finished watching it. Great show. It brought up a couple questions for us (first timers).
First, We saw where people board and put their carry on through a small opening. Does that mean you are limited to a small carry on, like a purse or bag? Or do they at least allow a piece of luggage the size of an airline carry on?

Secondly, we saw the outrageous phone charges. Would I be correct to assume room to room and other on-board calls are free?

Lastly, since they make it appear that all foods and such are 'free' and included, does that include coffee at the coffee shops and Ben & Jerry's and such? I know Johnny Rockets, Portifinos and Chops are extra(as are drinks, unless you have a soda card)

As far as I have seen all the extra places like coffee shops and Ben And Jerry are all at an extra cost.Room to room calls were free...And I have always been able to use my cell in ports so I never used the phone for any other calls.
Yes you can take on a carry on and each time you board after port trips all bags are scanned.

I checked The Travel Channel website and it shows that they will be airing the episode again on Sunday March 25th at 11am (EST I'm guessing). If you get the travel channel, then check for it. I don't know if it's something that is available for download though.
Definitely worth watching.

You said you were able to use your cell phone in port? What service do you have and is anyone else able to use their phones in port? I have Verizon and it didn't work when I went last year. I did however run up a $636 phone bill calling home from the room. Won't be doing that again!

Wow, that would just about buy you half of another cruise for two. I can't even imagine any reason to call anyone while cruising.

I have sprint...And had no problems at all.
Dont go near the cruise phone. Happy Sailing Everyone..
