We are going on the Mariner in July! I'm so excited! I was wondering, is there 'open skate' time on the ice skating rink?? Also, do they rent skates (ice and inline) on the ship or are you supposed to have your own??

Yes, there is open shating. There's no charge for the skates, but you do have to have heavy socks.

Thanks Sonny! The socks are so obvious, yet if you hadn't mentioned them I KNOW that I would have left here without any!!

You also have to have long pants for the ice rink.

Don't miss the ice skating shows, they are absolutely fabulous! My favorite part of the cruise is watching them. Have fun!!

Yes make sure of it last time we were on voyager we ended up skating in our dress slacks as well as my boys because we had no other long pants with us as we were departing from Miami in the middle of June
