Welcome home Dave, Vanessa and Jacob. It was so nice cruising vicariously. Vanessa looks great! It's amazing considering all she's been through. Get busy booking so you can make Diamond! Hope you received some of the rain and no damage. I lost one of my serrano pepper plants, but other than that, no damage. We sure need some more rain though. Take care and thanks for sharing your voyage with us!
Thanks Penny. I hope things are going well for you. We got some of the rain yesterday and no damage. Now I wait for the accumulated mail to be delivered, and all the bills that come with it! Now THAT is the slap that brings one back to reality after a cruise....getting your held mail delivered.

I got curious about our famous fellow passenger on the cruise - Gloria Estefan. Word is she is a big RCI fan and cruises with them frequently.
Hmmm... I would steer clear of any vacation involving Gloria Estefan. She was taking some time off from her tour in 1990 and she broke her back in a bus accident. After a lengthy recovery, in Sept. of 1995, she and her husband were enjoying a little cruise in their 33ft boat of the coast of Miami when a jet ski jumping the wake of their vessel collided and killed the pilot of the jetski and severely wounded his passenger. Yep, I would not cruise with her if I had a two category upgrade, free cocktails, a rabbit foot in each pocket and a four leaf clover clenched between my teeth.
Hi Dave glad to see you made it back safe & sound. As soon as I get some time I'll write a little review on the LOS & maybe some photos.
I have some things to take care of out of town first........P.S. Gloria Estefan is the Godmother to EOS.
Hi again Dave,
Your pictures are wonderful...the one of the ship in Labadee was outstanding, and you got a terrific shot of Jacob on the Flowrider...
I am ready to think about my next cruise, but wonder what could ever live up to our experience on LOS...what a way for Krista to start her cruising experience...I think Grandma really came out looking great on this vacation!
My best to Vanessa and Jacob!
Mary Lou
Yes, I'd say Grandma scored a touchdown with Krista on the LOS cruise! As we say in north Alabama "you done good"!
I used to be a serious photographer - years ago when a 35mm SLR was THE thing to have. I even took courses in photography and did my own processing. But I got away from it until last year when I bought a digital SLR, which is what I used on the Labadee shot.
It is rare for an entire cruise trip to go without at least some problems. We really had no problems worth noting again. Even the flights and hotel were great, and I also will include layovers at MIA and ATL in the mix...they were trouble-free with on-time flights and friendly TSA and airline people. I now await some calamity at home to happen, to even things out!

Vanessa is looking better, all things considered. Still wears knee and ankle supports (as you can see in the one photo), has the trach scar on her throat, and other physical reminders of the wreck. Her hair still hasn't grown all the way back. Thanks for noting her improvement!
All I can see is a big smile! It's easy to tell from the photographs that you had a wonderful time.
