My children simply loved the soft-serve ice cream machines located on our previous cruise ship, and I was wondering if the machine is a standard on all of the ships, more specifically the Grandeur of the Seas. Thank you.

Thanks alot. I guess I have one more question, and it is that throughout the web, I have been looking through the reviews and a lot say that the food leaves somewhat to be desired. Is this true from your expirience? Thanks again.

Don't worry about the food on RCI. Unless you are a food snob and drink your high tea with pinky in the air, you will enjoy the food and always find something you like. In the dining room, you can order multiple appetizers, entrees, etc. Don't be shy. The staff is pleased to serve you.
The soft serve ice cream machine is usually located inside the Windjammer, or just outside the WJ on the pool deck.

I have noticed that some ships have better ice cream than others. I have trouble walking past one without making a small cone.

THERE IS SOFTSERVE ICE CREAM AVAILABLE IN THE WINDJAMMER ON THE GRANDEAUR. HOWEVER UNLIKE THE ADVERTURE OF THE SEAS AND OTHERS WHERE YOU CAN SERVE YOURSELF IN ANY FASHION(CUP,CONE,GLASS OR WHATEVER)THE ICE CREAM ON THE WINDJAMMER IS SERVED TO YOU IN A CONE OR CUP BY SOMEONE AND THE STATION IS SOMEWHAT HARD TO FIND IN A CROWD. I PREFER TO SERVE MYSELF AS TO HOW MUCH I WANT AND HOW OFTEN WITHOUT WAIT. ADVENTURE TO MY MEMORY HAS IT NEAR THE DOOR AND OUT OF THE WAY OF CROWDS. CLOSE TO THE WATER, COFFEE AND ICE TEA MACHINES.ALSO DOING IT YOURSELF MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO MIX CHOCOLATE AND VANILLA IN A MIX TO YOUR LIKING. SOMETIMES GRANDEUR ALSO HAD STRAWBERRY BUT NOT ALL THE TIME.
