Computer access?

I'm booked on the Legend next week. I'm going to bring my own laptop, which has a wireless card. Is this access free, or do I have to pay, even though I'll use my own computer? If the latter, how much is it for unlimited time?

No, it´s not for free. It´s 50c per minute or you buy packages $25/60min, $35/90min, $50/150min. No unlimited access available.

Its not free on ship but you may be able to find a free place in port. Some places have free acess if you spend a certain amount in their restaurant or coffee house. Trust me your crew will know where those places are, that is where they spend their port time.

I don't have a wireless card, can I still get internet access on my laptop? Also, will it fit in the safe, if not will it be okay in the cabin?

Usually those safes are teensy-tiny. Definitely will not fit. As for leaving it in the room, I guess that's one of those things you can decide for yourself--worth the risk or not.

The ships are supposed to have "hot spots" where wireless is available. I guess there must be some sort of password entry system if they are charging by the minute. You'll have to either get a card or use someone else's computer...

They are renting out WiFi cards but it´s quite expensive. Better get your own! There should be computers which you can use if you don´t want to bring your own laptop and card.
