Just saved $320! Made final payment on Monday and rechecked the prices today in my cabin category. Rates dropped and got a credit on my cc. It's definately worth the trouble of constantly checking your rates. Looks like RCCL is shaking inventory and dropping rates on my sailing. Lucky me!

Same here. Going on Granduer and Junior Suites just dropped to $849! This is a resident (GA) price. Also it pays to check Senior if you are 55+. One last note, I am an "interliner" (travel industry). On RCL one can only get the rate through an interline travel agent. I found out that it is best to book through an agency so if the rates come down you can qualify.
Junior Suite!!! SWEET!

Wow you all are lucky I keep checking and I never see a price drop. We booked FOS last June and we have a D1 balcony we paid $1200 per person and the TA says that was excellent so don't even look for it to drop past that as of right now the same is going for $2319 so I will consider us in the right place at the right time.

What is the policy in regards to price drops? If the price drops, do you get credited the difference in the amount back? What if you booked it through a travel agent?

RCCL credited back the difference on my cc. I actually had to call my TA to let him know the price dropped.

Don't despair, Spiritfilled. After many years of cruising, we finally got our first price drop last year -- to the tune of $1000 total. We were floored, to say the least!

bethmclean83, in our case (albeit limited), the price drop was noted before final payment was due, so our balance was simply adjusted. Our travel agent regularly checks for price drops and alerted us to them. Of course, it never hurts to check yourself every so often, as bbw187 noted.
