We've done the 3 day repositioning on a Pricess and are hooked!! line and sinker!! haha Now have booked our 25th anniversary on this one, April 23rd,'06 Anyone else going that could give us guidance? Is this too long a cruise for us newbies? Its exciting but overwelming to think we could take on such an adventure. Any suggestons to ease our overjealous anticipation? What if...we get lost getting to the boat, miss the boat, get sea sick, missplace or spouse, miss our excursion, miss our re-embarkment...ON and ON..agh! Or does everything fall into place and run smoothly?

You should tell the board which ports you will be visiting so that we can provide you with some guidance as to what to see and do in these ports. You should also let us know your port of departure so that we can help with this as well.

Here are some general suggestions on the Panama Canal. First, get a good night's sleep the night before you sail through the Canal. You do not want to be rubbing sleep out of your eyes, because there is much to see throughout the day long transit of the Canal. Have a light windbreaker with a hood to shield you from the frequent rain showers. But make sure you do stand out in the rain to get some idea of what is was to build the canal in the rain. Read David McCullough's "The Path between the Seas" for some historical and cultural background about the building of the Canal. When you are in one of the locks, go down to the lowest deck that you can, and actually touch the Canal.

Plan to arrive in your departure city the night before your cruise.

You will have a great time but do not agonize over your choice of ships, cabins, airline reservations, and so on.
