The Majesty has a full schedule of cruises, so it isn't going to the shipyard anytime soon. It received a refurbishment in the recent past, if I recall correctly, when they added the rock climbing wall and other stuff.

We cruised on this ship 13 years ago when it was new and innovative. It isn't anymore, but still can offer a fun cruise. The standard cabins are very small, something that RCCL has abandoned with it's newer ships. For the price it is a very decent short cruise.

Hotsun, I've cruised on the Majesty a few times, the last time being last month. We had a great time. Standard rooms are small, as Dave mentioned, at 122' sq. There are larger rooms available and rooms with a balcony as well.

I'd say it's a very worthwhile cruise if you're looking for a short cruise. Also good for a short (4 or 5 night) cruise is the Enchantment of the Seas. That one leaves from Ft. Lauderdale.

I remember Jeff Arpin as the CD on our 1993 cruise on the Majesty. Perhaps the most talented and fun CD to ever set foot on a cruise ship. I wonder what he is doing these days?

I'd certainly leap at the opportunity to cruise on the Majesty Of The Seas again. I still find that ship to have an elegant profile. It looks like a ship and not a box.
