Can any RCCL experts tell me if they do Black Jack tournaments in the RCCL casinos? (I assume they do) If they do, can you tell me how they are structured? On CCL they will have multiple entry games played throughout the day. They then take the 7 or 8 highest point totals and those people play a final match for "winner". On NCL they played where each tablefull was its own tournament (though the prizes were much smaller)
I was just wondering so that I could have a heads up on how to strategize (because you play differently if you only have to be best at the current table versus top 8 for the day..)

On the Freedom a few week ago they have a set amount of 'chips' to buy into the tourney. They play seven hands with $700 in chips and the highest money count wins. After all these 'chips' are played, the top seven highest money counts play the final table. Again, seven hands with $700 and the highest money count wins. My husband played AND WON the tourney on Freedom. On the last hand he didn't have the highest chip count but went all in (limit $500) and caught a Black Jack hence $1500 and put out the woman that HAD the highest chip count ($1350) as she only bet $25 on the last hand and lost. So you are not only playing the dealer but playing the players as well. Good Luck!
That's what I wanted to know. It sounds like the same setup as on CCL. Except they start you with $1000 each. But the format is the same.
It helps going in to know what your goal is. Do you remember if to get to the final table it was the "winners" of each table (seven entry games through the day and then the final?) or truly the top 7 chip totals get to play the final?

They only used two tables for the turney then one for the final game, so it was truly the top seven money winners. The one with the most money got the first choice of where they wanted to sit & so on. Luckily everyone was where they wanted to be so no one had to move. (My hubby likes to sit last) They didn't play throughout the day. It started atr 2:30 and they played until they had the top seven money winners.
