My husband and I returned in April from a fabulous crusise on Royal C. The end of our trip the cruise line lost one of our bags. It did turn up about 10 days later. No one told us how or where, but it did with nothing lost. Not even the tag the cruise line had us put on the bag.
What is interesting .. had we not bought insurance we would have been responsible to get our bag to us (cost $79) and if it were lost for good .. they took it from our room door and we never got it in the warehouse .. they took no responsibiity. But with insurance at least we had $1500 of coverage. About $3000 of clothes were in the bag, but there was something.
Moral of the story? Put a big ugly something on your bag so no one takes it accidentially and buy the insurance. It covers you for several things and this is just one.
