Has anyone snorkeled recently in Cozumel? I would appreciate information regarding how the hurricane has impacted on the quality of this excursion with RCI/Grandeur of the Seas. We are going on a five day cruise, also stopping in Costa Mya, in April. Many thanks.

We just came off Carnival cruise in Cozumel 1/27. Brother in law snorkled while we enjoyed the boat. He said there were a ton of fish where we stopped. He said they came right up to his face mask. The crew tossed some tortilla into the water for those of us staying on the boat to see the fish, there were probably 50 fish that came to the surface to eat the bread.

You might want to check out the Paradise Beach catamaran snorkel trip, see www.paradise-beach-cozumel.net

BJC123 - hopefully your brother-in-law was on a tour outside the Marine Park when they fed the fish with tortillas... everyone please remember it is prohibited to feed the fish within the Marine Park... this applies to tour guides too. This is particularly important at the moment when the ecosystem is still recovering...

Still plenty of great snorkeling though!
