I agree with Sonny. Self-debarkation is not as wonderful as it sounds. It has become too popular, and in my opinion abused, and thus not a quick exit from the ship. How fast is something that half the passengers decide to do? I frankly wish the cruise lines would stop it and return to the old ways, which when properly implemented were quicker.
It works for us but we only carry 1 bag each & although we really don't need to get off early to catch our transportation it makes it easier to bypass the crowds looking for their bags. In addition to that fact we can also pack valuables in our bags & not worry about losing them as our bags never leave our sight.

We prefer to have breakfast prior to debarking,it is far more relaxing and less stressful. After a long relaxing cruise-why rush??
Try scheduling a later flight-it makes the cruise "glow" last just a wee bit longer!

I agree that they should do away with self disembarkation. It has become abused and now the people with too much luggage to go that route and the have early flights are being kept on board longer than they can afford waiting for the mad house created by self disembarkers to end.

It worked much better when you told them what time your flights were and they prioritized the people based on that and cabin location.

Cruiser 2 assuming you are sailing from port evergaldes and your flight is from Ft L airport, you should be ok with a 11:15 flight (it might be a little tight if things go wrong, but still ok.

Just ask them for early departure. (You may have to go to the purser's desk during the cruise to make sur eyou get on the list, its better than having a last day surprise)

When you do the online check-in, it asks what flight/airport/time your flight is. I had a cruise out of Miami but we flew into Fort Lauderdale. Based on our colored tags, we were supposed to get off the ship at7:45, we actually got called around 7:15 and we had got our luggage at the carousel and were on the airport shuttle by 7:45.
