Younique,

Though few people do and still fewer recommend that process, you may pay your sea pass account with cash, however you must deposit a significant amount of cash up front into your sea pass account. The amounts required/suggested and how to and with whom you must make such a deposit are best left to those who have actually done that or who know more about the process than do I. I would suggest you go to the RCCL website, contact your travel agent or if you are self booked, call RCCL itself.

I wouldn't want to carry around that amount of cash....and you can run up a considerable bill while on the ship.....so you may want to reconsider......Have a great cruise...

An option is to use the CC on check in then part way through the cruise go to the desk & pay cash on your account.
Less hassle... other wise I think they put a hold on your debit card or you have to put up $$ upfront.

If you rather not use a credit card, you just go the "Guest Relations Desk" and give them the amount of cash you think you'll spend. If you spend less, you'll get cash back. If you spend more, your sea pass card won't let you purchase anything until you go to back and put more into your account. Your sea pass card is your key to your stateroom, and your charge card for purchasing anything on board the ship. While in your stateroom you can check your balance on your tv by selecting it from the menu, or you can go the guess relations deck and inquire.

Hope this helps,

Sonny

Was on Voyager of the Seas last month and you can pay with cash very easily. Best to use travellers cheques, which is just like cash. You may put as much of a deposit at the beginning as you like. When the money runs out, you have to top it up. Its very simple.

If you use the Debit card, make sure and tell them to run it as a credit instead of a debit. Our credit union told us to do this as it was protected under the Visa agreement to a liability of $50 if something happened. Running it as a debit could be costly if something happened. Also, remember that most debit cards carry a daily limit of $200 or $300 so at the end of the cruise, if the bill is more than that, it will be declined. The daily limit does not apply if run as a credit. Another thing to do before leaving is to call your bank and inform them that charges will be showing up from the locations you are going for the week that you will be gone. Otherwise, your bank could put a hold on your account. This is for your protection. Like was stated though, you can use cash.
