Hi SIE
I had never been on the cruisetour, however, here is a brief summary from one of my clients.
On that particular cruisetour, to my recollection, only two meals were included (lunch during the train ride through the Canadian Rockies and dinner at a supper club where we saw a show. The lunch was okay but the dinner was substandard. I would say that the land portion of the tour was somewhat structured. It has to be because the group needs to arrive at their destinations on time. With that said, I did find myself somewhat rushed to finish my meal. (1) Banff, Canada: touring the shops, and some monuments, climbing to the pinnacle of Sulpher Mountain and eating lunch at a local eatery. The service was slow hence the rush, but the food was delicious, and (2) Vancouver: touring shops at a massive market, lunch / bathroom break (all within 45 minutes, yikes).
Hope this was helpful to you and have a great trip.
DYG
