New years Eve

We will be on the Navigator of the Seas( a fabulous ship- we've been on the Voyageur class 4 times before!)for New Years Eve. Since we embark and sail by 5:00 p.m. we are wondering how the festivities will be handled and will we be expected to be in our formal attire for the 6:00P.M. dinner seating? Has anyone heard??

I am sure that they will not require Formals on New Years Eve.

The first night dinner is generally casual. As the luggage has to go through all the checks first. That is why it takes longer to get to your rooms.

You could always shoot back to your room after dinner and change but I am sure it will be optional
