Can you tell me how long would it take to decontaminate an entire ship that had a serious virus going through it?

We just got off a cruise where 1/3 of the ship was sick and there were new passangers going on 4 hours after we got off.

Hi Ottycruiser and welcome to Cruise Chat.

The whole ship is cleaned between cruises each time. If there was an outbreak on the previous cruise, they pay special attention to railings, doorknobs, and other surfaces. With so many crew working to "turn over" the ship after each cruise, it's likely to be ready in four hours when the new passengers embark.
