Granduer of the seas 5 day out of Tampa

Has anyone taken the 5 day Grandeur of the Seas that departs from Tampa? I think it goes to Belize and Costa Maya. I hear the ship is a bit smaller than some and a little older. She is scheduled to be refurbished and I'm sure she will be beautiful. We have always gone on Princess ( 5 cruises ) and I'm sure we'll miss the anytime dining. Is the casino any good? How about the shows? Will I be dissapointed or should I step up and take Freedom for 7 days. I have seen some picstures and she looks awesome. Thanks for any info

Hi Laur623--We took the Grandeur 5 day out of Tampa in December 2005. Our stops were Cozumel and Costa Maya. It was a great trip. We liked the port of Tampa, too.

We were on the Grandeur on it's second or third voyage in January 1997. She was beautiful then and is still beautiful! We did feel that she was showing her age in that the carpets were kind of worn and spotted. Since she is being refurbished, that should be remedied. The Centrium is magnificent with it's brass and glass.

I really don't remember much about the shows or the casino. Just wanted to encourage you to take the Grandeur, if the price is right because she's a great ship!
