We are ready to book our 2nd cruise after just returning in February from our 1st cruise aboard the Enchantment. We are looking at the Panama Canal on Brilliance in February 2006.Anyone have any comments on the rooms at the back of the 7th deck?We enjoyed our lst cruise so much we even talked 3 other couples to join us, should be a great time.If anyone reading have done this cruise, fill us in on must dos. Thanks
If you are planning on a balcony room look on the RCCL website at Brilliance's Deck #7 plan - the rooms between 7046-7014 and on the other side 7546-7506 have balconies about twice the size at the same price. We just came back from 11-night E.Carribean and had Room #7038.
The Brilliance is one of the most beautiful ships out there, You will have a wonderful time no matter what cabin you are in. RCI's Radiance class ships are the best.
Here is a link to a MEGA review I did on her. Enjoy!
Hi Tom
What a great review.Your description and pictures of the Brilliance are great. After reading this I am very happy and excited with our choice of cruise and ship. Although we won't be going for a while I certainly enjoy reading postings on this chat forum, always seem to be lots of great information. Thanks
Hi there, not sure what we will see or do at the ports, still looking at what there is, seems like soooo many choices. We all like nice sandy beaches for swimming, lots of sun and a little shade, relaxing with good friends and a tall cool drink.Looking to find that in Aruba and Grand Cayman, any suggestions? I think we will order room service for breakfast along with the orange juice for the champagne and enjoy our aft cabin balconys going through the panamal canal. Will probably stay on the ship.
Aruba, Havana Beach Club (just south of town within easy walking distance) There is topless sunbathing here if that is an issue with your family, but other than that, it is great.
Grand Cayman...Seagrape Beach on the 7-mile beach. Awesome! Great bars at both spots.
Thanks Tom, both places you mentioned in Aruba and Grand Cayman sound to be exactly what we are looking for.Our last cruise was with our daughters and it was a great family vacation with treasured memories, but this next one is just for me and hubby and some wonderful longtime friends. One couple will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary and this is a surprise gift from her husband, so sweet.
