Have any of you Royal Caribbean fans ever been on a membership cruise? Are any of you going to be on the Freedom for the Oct. 15th membership cruise?

I hadn't heard of that cruise. Is it listed on the Royal Caribbean website? I haven't really looked on the Crown and Anchor website lately. Where are they cruising to and for how long?

Hi,
As far as I know the cruise is sold out. It's a 7 night cruise sailing out of Miami to Cozumel, George Town, Montego Bay, and Labadee. You would have to check with your travel agent to see if any cabins are available.

Sonny, why did you choose a membership cruise? Do they offer special things?

Hi Sandy,
Yes they do have special things. They put special gifts in our cabin almost every night, they have special parties, and they have special excursions for diamond plus. We usually book one every year because they are special. The October cruise will really be special because it's on the Freedom.

Sonny, thanks for the info on membership cruises. Is the whole ship for past passengers on those cruises?

Sandy,
As you probably know, after your first cruise with RCCL you can join the Crown & Anchor Society. It's free, and there are a lot of perks. You don't have to be a member to book a membership cruise, but most of the passengers are.

I didn't know about the membership cruises -- that you don't have to be a member to join. Have you compared the price to the same ship the previous or next week? Is it the same, or are you actually paying extra for the extras you get?

I really don't know much about membership cruises!

Sandy,
The cost of a membership cruise is no different than any other cruise for the same time period. We always book our cruises while on board to take advantage of the $100 on board credit. If your a member there are always discount coupons for different cruises. I found one for our December cruise just last week, which means I get another $150 off the price of my cruise. You can go to RCCL's website to join.
