For those who have been on Radiance of The sea, how good are the spin classes? I'm a spin snob and are hoping for terrific classes! The reason I booked this cruise is due to the fact they have spin classes. I know, I'm a bit odd, but I need a good 60 minute spin class every day.

Am I the only one that doesn't know what a spin class is?

Either way, your on vacation! People were literally laughing at me as I ran on a treadmill in the shipshape gym in a feeble attempt to shed off the calories I inherited from the extra dessert I ate from the night before. Who was I kidding...

Spin is the most unbelievable workout if done right. It trains your heart, while riding on a stationary bike, sculps your legs, and makes you smile. Unfortunatley so many instructors are improperly trained. Join a gym that is Johnny G or Madd Dog and enjoy. Nothing is better than SPIN ... NOTHING. I'm an instructor, can you tell and if I pay $10 for a class, I expect them to know what they are doing to perfection! Only Madd Dog quality - which means they do heart rate training and know what they are doing. (Otherwise, don't charge me when I'm an instructor).

This was my origninal post and now that I've been on the ship I can tell you they illegally use the trademark name. Their bikes are cheap and instructors not properly trained.

But the gym is very good and their body sculpting class looked good. Enough equipment to keep you happy. If I'm paying $10 a class plus a tip I expect their instructors to be trained to current standards, not standards of 3 years ago.

But the equipment was very nice on The Radiance Of the Sea.
