Looking for an E1 category cabin that has a balcony with an unobstructed view Would like a quiet section if possible. Any suggestions? Would also consider D1 I believe - need a cabin with 3 adults.

You can get a triple cabin with either a D-1 or E-1. A D-1 will be a little larger. Here is a picture of our E-1 on the Explorer

Book you cruise ASAP because the triple and quad staterooms are limited. You will love the Explorer.
