Today RCI updated the web site to reflect the change to our December 9th sailing in place of Costa Maya. We will now be stopping in Playa Del Carmen for 12 hours. I've never been here either so I'm happy either way. Can anyone tell what there is in the way of snorkeling and hanging out on the beach with restaurants etc.? Any info would be appreciated.

Lots and lots of stuff to do in Playa Del Carmen...Tulume comes to mind....I wouldn't miss it if you are into Mayan Ruins....you can take a ferry over to Cozumel and SHOP AND SHOP...AND EAT AND EAT...AND a few drinks too...
