I know that if you purchase alcoholic beverages in a souveneir cup on Carnival, you can use that same souveneir cup to get drinks for a cheaper price. Has RCCL adopted this yet?

yes u can. they have special drinks each night (on FOS) their like 5.95 a drink and the glass is yours. but you have to make sure its the special drink.

The ship's newsletter tells you what the "drink special of the day" is and I think it sold for $4.95. No mention of a special glass in the ad.

You get to keep the commemorative glass your drink comes in but no specials on the pricing of subsequent alcoholic beverages upon purchase of one drink. The Cruise Compass delivered to your stateroom daily does list the "Drink of the Day" that sells for $4.95.
