Thanks for the help with info on Cruise docs. I have recieved them online and have them all filled out. Now, a question about the "Soda Card", Do people think this is worthwhile? I don't drink alcohol, but I don't drink a lot of soda either, mostly water and iced tea. is iced tea considered a "Soft drink" like soda on a ship? Also I am a night owl, is breakfast served late or is there a cutoff time like at McDonalds? (why can't I get an egg McMuffin at 10:32am?!?!) Any other tips for a Virgin cruiser would be much appreciated. I am getting really excited about my cruise, I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Soda card is not a good deal unless your going to drink more than three sodas a day. Ice tea is free.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they have a late breakfast. I know Carnival has a "late risers" breakfast buffet on lido until around 12.

Hello Pyrate1969, welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Soda cards (which is just a sticker placed on your seapass card) are about $6 per day, and you have to buy it for the entire cruise. They give you a plastic mug that you can take home as a souvenir. You can only purchase them until noon on the second day of the cruise.

You can go to the Windjammer and get all the iced tea, lemonade, and punch that you want. For breakfast they'll have orange juice in the Windjammer. I think you can eat breakfast in the Windjammer until 11:30 when they start setting up for lunch. You'll like the assortment of breakfast food in the Windjammer, including eggs and omelets made to order. I like eating breakfast in the main dining room also. That's where I have my eggs benedict. You also have a choice of different juices, and they seat you at a table where you get to meet other cruisers. I think the main dining room closes around 10am. You can also order room service any time you want. One thing for sure...you'll never go hungry.

Here is what is listed from the Cruise Compass on a recent cruise I went on...

Breakfast - 6am-7am, Early Bird coffee and pastries, poolside. 7am-11am, Windjammer Buffet Breakfast. 7:30-9:30am, open seating breakfast in the dining room.

These times could vary by a half-hour. That would be based on the itinerary and times you arrive at the ports.

You could also put in for room service breakfast and just have them deliver it late. You will still have to wake up and trow a robe on for the server but you wouldn't have to be up early enough to shower/dress to get up tot he buffet or dinning room.

I'm a night owl too but when I cruise I still wake up early enough to get to the dinning room for breakfast. Also, if you are in port, you are going to be getting up early to go into port.. a little earlier and you can get breakfast first too.
