Harley Davidson Tour - Cozumel Mexico

Hi guys,

My boyfriend is Harley mad!! has anyone done this tour previously and is it worth the money? are you tied to being with a large group? also how much extra would it be to have a passenger on the bike - namely Me!!!

I think Jim looked at this tour when we were in Cozumel last month, and it is not a good deal. You can't go off on your own, it is an organized tour. I also think the rules have changed and for the two of you it is $600. Hardly worth it.

awh Noooo!!!! I thought I would be in the 'good books' for having found such a tour! Wonder if I let him off on his own its 191 euro. but like you said its the fact that you cant go off on your own would probably crack him up.. awh im so disappointed now but thanks for the reply Dave

My Parents, brother & his GF did this cruise/tour in April 08 - and they had a GREAT time! Acutally it was there 2nd H.O.T.H.S. tour - and they are planning on doing it again in 2010. The price is more but there are alot of extras (giveaways, contests, side tours, etc.)that you get to do with the group.

Yes, I talked to them about this and they do make you go in a group. You might be able to find an independent rental company on Cozumel that would let you rent a Harley on your own, but I don't know what the cost would be. It's worth looking into some more.

SMF, the Hogs on the High Seas cruise is something different than what corkgirl is talking about. The HOTHS is a special group cruise where they have pre-arranged for rental bikes (they don't bring their own unless they are part of the vendors on board) It would be fun to do a biker's cruise but it does cost a bit more than a standard cruise. Corkgirl was talking about just going on a tour like the jeep excursions only with Harleys. Corkgirl, if I am wrong let me know.

Again, I think I would check on local rental companies before I gave up on the idea. Although I am not too thrilled with renting any motorized vehicles on cruises, if you have you heart set on this, then look into it more.

Yes Jim you're correct we just want to do it for a day while the ship is docked but would prefer not to be tied to a group would prefer to head off into the sunset ourselves!!
