There is no "best" day. It depends on your individual plans. The menu is the same every night. It's more a function of what you plan to do in the ports given two of them have the ship leaving at 8pm. Sea days are probably the most popular which means those reservations will close out first.

As usual, I agree with Dave, there is no best day, and sea days fill up fast. On our last cruise we dined at Chops the last night, we called it our "Topper" to a great cruise. It really was a special way to end the cruise. Usually, because you do the last night "Tip night", I would never do that, but we had taken advantage of "My Time" dining, and tips were taken care of, we let our special waiter know, and gave him a few EXTRA $$, for great service.

I also believe that some people prefer NOT to dine in choppes when its Lobster night in the dining room, as they dont want to miss this. Doesnt bother me as Im not a fan of Lobster

Personally, I can't stand Ocho Rios, and usually plan to eat at Chops that night, after spending the full day on board, with the ship basically to myself, while everyone else is ashore. We can then take our time, not have to worry about returning to the ship in time, etc.
There are people who love that port; I'm just not one of them, nor is my wife.
We're on Liberty next year in September. Hope she's as great as everyone says she is.
Have a great time!

Yes Jim Liberty is fantastic, but to be honest not too far off Voyager in my opinion, I mean I wouldnt be upset if I had to go on voyager again rather than Liberty, however Liberty is much newer and the bedrooms have flat screen tvs! for us lazy people!

It's great the everyone has their own opinions. I personally place the Voyager on thebottom of my list, but that's my opinion. The Navigator, Mariner, and the Independence are at the top of my list. There's not too much difference - but we all tend to have favorites.

Chops is a great place to eat if you can get reservations. I generally peek at the main dining room menu to see which evening has the lest appealing meal; that's when I try to make a reservation for Chops or Portofino's. You might want to play it safe and make early reservations for any night. You can always change reservations if something else is available.

I agree with SonnyV about the Mariner- she's a great ship, and our last three cruises have been on her out of Port Canaveral before they shipped her to the left coast.
I don't know if you can check menus on line, but I do know that you can book Chops on the RCL web page, if that helps.
