Hello, my name is Tracy and I am about to take my first cruise ever! We leave on October 20th for the 3 night cruise to the Bahama's. This board has really helped to answer alot of questions and I have a good idea of what to expect. I still have a couple of questions if someone would be so kind to answer for me. First, Do carry-on bags require one of the luggage tags they provided? Second, do the inner staterooms have safes? and third, will they provide extra pillows, one is just not enough for hubby and I. Thanks so much for all the input of the seasoned cruisers, I am looking forward to my first cruise and I'm sure it won't be my last. Tracy
First, I know you will have a great time. It is best to put tags on all of you bags incase you get seperated from them. I personally do not carry on any bags and I do not advise you to because they are a hassle. They get delivered to your stateroom pretty quick on the Soverign. So carry your purse and enjoy just walking on. I normally do not stay in the inner rooms but if they do not have one in your stateroom they do have safes behind the guest relations desk. And I have always had a total of 4 pillows in the staterooms. You are in luck they just did a bedding change on the Soverign and everything is nice and firm. I just went on 9/22/06 and I am going again on 11/13/06. But I just got a reply from the Soverign concerning safes and I was informed not all staterooms have safes. Feel free to ask any questions any time I have been on the Soverign alot.
Hello, and welcome to cruise chat. I was in cabin 9012 and it had a safe located in the closet. The inner cabins and even the outer cabins below level 9 don't have safes. You don't have to tag carry-ons, only the luggage the porters take. You will love the ship. The food is great and so is the entertainment. The staff is super friendly also. Have a great cruise!
Thank you both for the quick replies. Ya'll are the best! Sonny, thank you for sharing your pictures with us, I really enjoyed getting a sneak peek at the ship. Thanks again, Tracy
I was on the Sovereign Oct 2-6 cruise and had a great time! We had four people in a tiny cabin but other than that it was A+. I'm sure you will love it.
Make sure you go to all the shows on the Sovereign, they are usually pretty good. They usually do pretty good with the poolside activities. Like Sonny said the crew on this ship is awesome and very helpful. If you need more pillows, blankets, ice, etc, they are great at taking care of you. Have fun and enjoy yourself.
