I have been on 2 Disney cruises. The last one about 2 years ago. This will be my first RCCL. Has anyone been on both ships? What are the differences? Thanks

I have been on both ships. Since you have been on Disney twice I think you would enjoy a change of scenery with the Mariner. It is a total different product. The Mariner has many different amenities that Disney doesn't. I don't know whether a casino is something you care about, but the Mariner has a casino. It also offers ice shows, ice skating, inline skating, miniture golf, and rockclimbing. The Royal Promenade has a pub, wine bar, lots of shopping, and will have Mardi Gras type parades on certain nights. While all the production shows on Disney are geared toward Disney, on the Mariner you will have Broadway and Las Vegas type shows, along with comedians. The two ships are two total different experiences. I enjoyed them both.

Thanks for the info. Since you'e been on both ships, could you tell me the difference in the cabins? We have a balconey cabin on the mariner. Are they similar in size?

Disney cabins are much more spacious in all categories. Also the Mariner won't have a bathtub like Disney.
