And the count is on. Received cruise documents via e-mail on the 23rd for upcoming cruise on the Independence. There was a boarding time of 2 p.m. listed. Does one really have to abide by the time stated? Hey, I want to start the cruise experience as soon as possible with lunch on board even if the room is not ready.

I always go over to the ship anywhere from 11:00-11:30. Seldom have I had to wait. If I had any wait it may have only been a half hour at most. I am usually on a ship by 12:00 noon and enjoying my first lunch and exploring the ship. Rooms usually aren't ready until 1:00PM though, so you will have to carry your carry-on luggage around for a little bit. Check your larger luggage with the porters.
