Mariner of the Seas....Just Back

We just returned (9/30) from our trip aboard the Mariner of the Seas. A wonderful time! The entire cruise, from embarkment to disembarkment, was fantastic! The ship was awesome and her crew were extremely friendly,courtious, and helpful.

Hi i am going on the mariner in may 2008 eastern cruise. How was the food any recomendations on anything would be helpful.I am staying on deck 8. Did you take royal caribean transportation if so how was that thanks for any info you can give me

I've used RCCL's bus transportation twice before from Orlando to the ship-it's a normal "cruise" type bus-give the driver your bags and that's the last you handle them until they arrive in your cabin. Go down to baggage area, get your bags from the airline, and walk over to the bus area, where there are people from all the cruise lines to help you get on the correct bus. In my opinion, it's almost effortless-may be a little pricey for some (about $55 each) but worth the cost to me.

(I thought the food was great-make sure, if you like steak, you make reservations IMMEDIATELY upon boarding, at Chops Grill-Fantastic Food-costs $20 each extra, plus a tip if you wish)

And it is just as easy as that!! We ate at Portofinos and Chops. Portofinos was very good (we love Italian!), but Chops was the bomb!
