Hello,
First time cruiser here! From your experience, which would be best to book a cruise? And is it better to have your cabin on the upper decks or the lower?

Thank you,
Linda

Hello Linda,
I would advise finding a local travel agent that specializes in cruises. Even ask someone that has been on cruises for the name of their agent. As far as choosing a cabin, it depends on what you want, and how much you want to spend. We prefer a balcony cabin on an upper deck. My wife and I have been on over 30 cruises, so we've tried different cabins and locations. For a first time cruise it doesn't matter because your not spoiled yet.

Linda, first-timers are best off working with a cruise-oriented travel agent, rather than trying to figure it all out on the internet. There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of choices you can make, and in order to pick a cruise that will suit your needs, style and expectations, you'll need help from an expert who can narrow down your choices.

Price isn't everything. Too many people are tempted by cheap prices, but there are so many other factors involved; it may be better to spend a few hundred more dollars and get the cruise that's right for you.

Could not agree more! You'll be money ahead in the long run and happier during and after your cruise using a good cruise specialist travel agent.

hello,

you are better off going thru an agent. you will get the same price and alot of times they will have discount coupons for you to use. when i booked our cruise we rec'd a coupon from rccl a couple of weeks later. took it to our agent she place a call to rccl and they took the coupon amount off. then to our surprise when went to pay the balance off we rec'd another discount coupon. we got a total of $100.00 off. then if you have trouble with reservation let your agent solve the problem(s).

hope this helps you. we use our local aaa office for both of our cruises and it has been a real pleasure working with them.

later,
ezemoney
