Looks like we will be missing the cruise from Galveston to Barcelona. Hope tomorrow will see the UK airspace free so we can join you all on the Ship.

Are they allowing flights from Paris? Could you take the train to Paris and fly over from there?

It would truly be a shame if you are not going to be able to get to your cruise. I wish you luck.

Oh, no, say it isn't so. Is there some other depature point you can leave from? I know it's last minute, but I'd sure hate to see you miss your cruise. Who would have thought that a volcano would be erupting in the cold country this time of year. I think mother nature's mad at us. All of these earthquakes and now the spewing volcano.

I pray hurricane season won't be violent!

It appears airspace over France is also restricted, so even if they are able to get to France, there's no guarantee that they'll get out. Here is a link. Many flights from the US for Europe, regardless of destination, looks like they were canceled according to the article.

I feel so bad about the change in your plans. I am just curious about the cruise. Were you flying from UK to Galveston and then cruising back? When does the ship leave Galveston?

I hope you can find a way to be able to take the entire cruise. Good Luck!

I sure hope things work out too. I can't imagine all the people with cruise plans today and their disappointment.

We were flying from Newcastle International (North East of England) to London Heathrow. London to Houston boarding the ship in Galveston, Cruise to Bahamas then across atlantic to Azores then ending in Barcelona, were we were flying back to Newcastle via Amsterdam. We are looking for a Cruise in early May, Galveston will have to wait until next year. Take care Jake & Liz

The first thing I thought about was all our friends in Europe who will be affected by this. Such a shame that a cruise you wait so long for.....

Thank you, Jake, for the info. It sounded like a wonderful trip. I can just imagine your disappointment.

Hopefully you will find a great cruise for May.
