Hi guys
me again Im all questions! Just wondering with the american sizes etc, and inside leg and outside arm etc im afraid ill get it wrong, my friend said a tailor came up to her on the ship and measured up her husband in a few minutes and delivered the tux to the stateroom, would I be pushing it to leave it go until we board?
I only hired a tux once 3 cruises ago, i didint think i was going to go the formal night so i waited to the day of the formal night, they said they where very busy but it arrived in time, if i can remember right i gave them my UK size and the just converted it.
My tip will be at the start of the cruise the tux people have a stand in the centrum have a word with them.

I wouldn't wait until you get on board. They do have "extra" available but not many. They suggest you order it before you cruise. Have him fitted near you and they should be able to convert the sizes.
If you don't mind risking it (i.e. not having the tux won't ruin your cruise) then you could wait and hope. But it should be one of the first things you do once on board.

When I rented mine, I just went to a local tuxedo rental store and had them measure me there, they write down the measurements and you provide those to the tuxedo rental company online when you order. There should be an additional information box on the form that I would inform them that they are UK measurements.

Im filling out the size thingy on cruiselineformal.com - when it says jacket length, whats the standard its giving measurents of 34'' to 60'' - easy known I dont order tux too often, any help appreciated
oh and are cruiselineformal the same company that will provide tux onboard the ship, in case one of the sizes are incorrect and that we could exchange if need be
That is a function of the chest size and height/arm length of the person. An example would be 48R for me, with 48 being the chest size and R being for regular. Generally you can look at this for guidance, although sometimes a taller person needs a short and not a regular if they have short arms.
