We booked our cruise over the phone directly with RCCL. We paid 430 per adult. Now it appears by looking on line at the room and day we sail it is now 369. Is this what you all talk about as getting refunded? How do you go about doing this if it is possible? And this just gets refunded as an onboard credit right? There are of us so this could mean a couple hundred dollars for us.

I pretended I was booking and got 404 so it is about 20 off per tic.

Can I do this more than one time if it continues to drop?

Yes you can call Royal each time you see the price drop, as long as you qualify for the rate code they will refund you the difference. They are one of the easiset cruiselines to work with you when the prices drop.

You should not have to "pretend" to be booking a new cruise. I checked yesterday on RCCL's website and found that they had dropped the price on our Mariner cruise. So I called them and told them what I saw and when they confirmed the price drop, they promptly changed my "balance due" amount (I have not paid the post deposit balance yet). I saved $400! The specialist said to keep an eye on it (like I wasn't going too?)and call back if I saw another drop or special. That's what I call customer service. Why should I have to pay more because I booked early?

Can you also get a credit if you booked through a travel agent?

You can get it if you book through an agent. In fact, if you have a good agent, he/she will track the fare and notify you about the fare changes. You need to have a good relationship with your agent becuase a lower fare means a lower commission.
