Tanyababanya, they don't charge per person for the cab. From the Renaissance it's about $10 per cab. You could do it with 2 cabs unless there happens to be a van around. The Renaissance is very nice, really comfy beds. Walk down to the intracoastal and catch the water taxi. Last year the rate was $10/pp a day. You can use it as many times as you like. It's the best way to see Ft. Lauderdale. Be sure to take it to the end and have a drink or dinner at Charlie's Crab. There's also a good Greek restaurant at the end of the water taxi route. I think the name of the bar where you get off is Shooters, they make a dynamite Mango Martini. If you like shopping, get off at one of the Las Olas stops. Lots of trendy shops and cafes along Las Olas Boulevard. Hope this helps.

The Comfort Inn in Dania,Fl (midway between airport and cruiseport) offers airport and cruiseport transfers for no additional fee, parking can be arranged for cruisers- banks , a fair sized minimall and a large Walgren's within 50 yards. Rooms are mini-suites and a buffet breakfast is included. Very convenient and moderately priced.

Penny, I forgot that you used to live there! Who would have known the place better than you . Thank for the great information and advice. We sure will try the water taxi and Charlie's Crab.
I think I got a good deal at the Renaissance, since I booked it directly with the hotel and got two rooms with four queen beds at $139 per room. Not bad for Spring Break time!

I noticed that your Christmas cruise is coming up! Have a wonderful, wonderful time
Tanya.

Tanya, you got an excellent price. Our room was $189/per night, and that was 2 years ago. I'm eagerly awaiting our cruise, 2 weeks of peace and being pampered-yipee!

Actually,I have booked the same kinds of rooms at the price of $249 per room. Then two weeks later I checked again and it went down to $139, so I canceled and re booked
Penny, what a way to celebrate holidays on a two week cruise! I'm jealous, I hope we can do the same sometime in the future.
