Jewel of the Seas: passenger missing

I just heard on the news that a Canadian woman turned up missing onboard the Jewel of the Seas, just before it arrived in Nassau.

They think she might have fallen overboard. No one knows for sure.

My opinions on this story:

I have cruised twice so far in my life. I always felt safe; the same would go for my female loved-ones.
Everyday, thousands upon thousands of people embark and disembark safely from their cruises.
Cruising IMHO, has to be one of the safest forms of vacationing.
Stories like this one, and a couple of others in recent times, will not dissuade me from taking another cruise in the future. Neither should it dissuade anyone else from taking a cruise.[/list]
