we are travelling on navigator of the seas in sopt doing the western caribbean and wondered if anyone has done this cruise and can give us and any useful pointers or tips.
Hi lippy, we did that cruise in Nov. 03, and we loved it. Labadee we rented jet skies; Ocho Rios, Dunn's River Falls and the dolphin encounter; Grand Cayman, stingray city, snorkeling/resort combo.; Cozumel, the Ruins (I can't remember the name) and I would stay at their beach if that is offered along with it. You will have such a great time!!!
We went on the Navigotor last Oct. and had the cruise of a lifetime. This has to be one of the greatest ships in the world. The food was awesome, the service was world class, and there is no way you could ever get bored on this ship. Do not miss the ice skating show. It is awesome. All the broadway shows are great, the cruise director is hilarious and all the comedians are very good. You are going to have a great time.
We did then Enchantment of the Seas Western Carribbean cruise in Dec. 2005 and found Cozumel to be severly damaged after the hurricanes of 2005. Key West was fine-the Jimmy Buffet tour was first rate, in Belize the ruins at Altun Ha provided a great tour of Belize City as well as the countryside. Royal Carribbean offers some great side trips to choose from!
We went last October, what a great cruise. The cruise director then was a guy named Ghramn, very funny. I highly reccomend Captain Marvins for your shore excursion in Grand Caymen. http://www.captainmarvins.com/
The cruise director is Graham Seymore. He is very funny and a very talented guy. He has a morning show on tv each day that is hilarious. Graham was working on a dvd when we were on on the NOS last October. You will absolutely love this cruise. Labadee was our favorite port. Quiet and beautiful.
We went on the Navigator March of 2005. It was really great ! The suite we had was HUGE and the balcony was wonderful! We went on the river tubing in Jamaica. It was "okay". The people that ran the excursion pretty much begged for money though. Actually I found Jamaica pretty bad with that all around. The ride to get to the tubing was HORRIFIC! The roads were narrow and winding and pretty much hung off the side of the hills/cliffs most times!! Too much for me!
