We along with another couple will be sailing Mariner of the Seas. We have booked adjoining cabins - Deck 6 - catagory D1 - Superior Oceanview Staterooms. My question, will we have adjoining balconies as well? Thanks
If the cabins are adjoining then the balconies will be too. Many times the balcony partitions will be hinged and can be opened, however I cannot say for sure if this will be the case for you.
As Dave has stated they WILL be adjoining, but there are tempered glass partitions that separate them that cannot be opened. You can see a close-up picture (taken from another thread) that will provide a visual by following this link:
That's the picture I took from our aft balcony on the Mariner.
We have been on ships with the hinged balcony dividers. Unfortunately, one of them had a broken latch and kept us awake one night when the seas were a tad choppy and it kept banging back and forth. They fixed it the next morning.
Hi. We were on the Mariner at Christmas (deck 6 I think?? with adjoing balconies with a door between us. I had called and requested that and RCCI was able to tell me that we had an adjoining baclcony door ( so call and ask). But -- when we got on board, the staff told us no one could open the door!! However, I had been told that it could be. It took 3 or 4 calls to customer service before someone finally came up and unlocked the door. My point is -- don't take no for an answer!! It was wonderfulhaving both balconies open and easy to move back and forth between room via the balcony. I love these boards where cruisers talk to each other. I hope yours is a great cruise!!
