This is our first 12 night cruise. Going out of Bayonne New Jersey on March 15, 2009. How many and when will formal nights be? We are at sea first 2 days and last 2 days. Also what does anyone think the average age on a 12 nighter will be? What about kids?
Usually there are two formal, both while at sea. There will be less kids than usual because of the amount of days kids have to be taken out of school. There's no rhyme or reason to gauge what an average will be on any given cruise.
According to the Royal Caribbean Web site, there are two formal nights on your cruise. It's hard to say what the average age will be on any cruise, yet the longer the cruise, the older the demographic, in general. You'll tend to find fewer kids on a cruise of this length as they can't be out of school for so long, even if there's a school vacation within that period.
Hi I am on the same cruise, and can't wait. RCI advised me that the formal nights are normally the first of the two sea days - that way you can have a lie in the next day if need be. (so I think that makes it the Monday and then on the 11th night). See you on the cruise.
