tune in to watch the Science Channel Premiere of

"Ultimate Cruise Ship: Building Freedom of the Seas"

If you miss the Premiere, the show will repeat on the Science Channel on Thursday June 29th at 10:00am and 2:00pm EST and Sunday July 2nd at 2:00pm EST.

The Discovery Channel Premiere is on Saturday July 15th at noon EST.

Watched it. In fact I have it DVR'ed. I found it fairly interesting. As an engineer, I would have enjoyed it more if it went into more detail on the how's and why's of building a cruise ship versus the "man this thing is huge.. lets watch them build it" angle the show took. but still it was interesting.

They mentioned that after the inital sea trials found a damaged bearing, they could not go back into dry dock because the Freedom's sister ship was in there under construction. Anyone know the name of that one? And when its supposed to be coming on line?

It's called Liberty of the Seas, and is scheduled to debut in May 2007. I think May 19 may be the inaugural cruise for Liberty.
