I found out today that the balconies on the Monarch are not the same size depending on which side you are on.

On the port side the balconies are 4 feet out.
On the starbord side the balconies are 7 feet out.

I called RCCL to confirm this.

I had an owners suite (1520) booked, but found out from another web site the balcony on the port side is 19' x 4'. That's for both (1510 and 1520) owners suites. The owners suite on the starboard side (1020) is 17' x 7'.

Same thing with the Grand Suites. Port side they are 19'x4' and on the starboard they are 17' x 6'

Well, I ended up canceling the owners suite and getting the grand suite.

I wanted to know if anyone knows for sure if the balconies on the port side are this much smaller than on the starboard side.

Thanks.

My toilet on the riviera deck was only 18" x 14". This was depressing to me because I measured some toilets in the common areas with 20" accomodations.

JimD, you say you called RCCL to confirm this--they should know.

I've never heard of this size difference. I wonder why? Are these retrofitted and not original balconies?
